The History of CW Hill Photography

CW (Bill) Hill got bit by the photography bug during an extended global backpacking trip in 1967.

He began his professional career as an employee of Stork Photography. The business specialized in high volume baby portraiture, and Bill began travelling throughout the Edmonton area to people's homes to capture those first magical months of life on film.

After discovering that photography was a great gig, even while being burped and peed on, Bill bought the company, and CW Hill Photography was born. In the following decades, the business would grow to include families, couples, children, weddings, and corporate photography, and would become one of the most recognized and respected names in photography, at the local, provincial and national level.

Known as the "Man with the Hat" because of his trademark fedora, Bill Hill can still be seen enjoying his work throughout the Edmonton region. His primary philosophy is that photography should be fun - so give him a call and find out how fun it can be!
